Fabrica is a communication research center. Founded in 1994 by Luciano Benetton and Oliviero Toscani, it is housed outside Treviso, Northern Italy, in a magical architecture restored and expanded by Japanese architect Tadao Ando. Contemporary concrete and glass constructions interact with history as does the ongoing dialogue between history and contemporaneity in the activities hosted in the complex itself.

Fabrica offers art residencies to creative talents and organizes workshops, lectures and training experiences where the worlds of art, culture and research meet to develop new ideas. Internationally renowned architects, musicians, historians, designers, artists, interaction designers, art directors and sociologists collaborate with Fabrica.

I have been documenting the activities and the art generated at Fabrica in this work commissioned by Benetton.
